I help CEOs or key decision makers that are struggling through the enterprise-wide complexity of implementing Comprehensive Crisis Management and Emergency Response Systems.
Our firm works with companies who lack a repeatable formula for true implementation of consistent and essential strategies, tactics, skills, and behaviors to manage the unexpected enterprise-wide before, at and after times of crisis.
We recently worked with a tier one automotive supplier that was struggling through the complexity of implementing their Incident Management System globally.
We worked side by side to implement an enterprise-wide system in more than 150 manufacturing facilities in 27 countries in twelve languages.
After we had finished working with them they had sustainable processes and skill transfer in place worldwide significantly reducing, eliminating or mitigating impact of critical incidents.

After many years of being involved with professional ski patrol, teaching first aid, firefighter, and paramedics, as well as working for BC Ambulance as a paramedic in East Vancouver and North Vancouver I decided I wanted to start my own business marketing emergency medical products. The company is called GUTZ. GUTZ is a mysterious acronym we associate with will and integrity (not to be confused with careless courage or brazen bravado). GUTZ started out in North Vancouver and soon evolved and added a mail order division with a fulfillment centre in Delta, BC and our call centre is located on a island in the Comox Valley called Hornby Island. Unique choices, but all working out better than imagined.
GUTZ also represents a potent and dynamic network of proficient and creative individuals working in cooperation. With extensive experience and a unique approach emphasizing integrated solutions, GUTZ has proven to be a valuable resource for the community of responders, operators, educators, suppliers, and manufacturers throughout the world.
This network includes a consulting business with international clients like ArvinMeritor, a training group with clients like Hunter Dickinson, and we are currently working with a start-up to develop a more useful Epipen (smaller, and less expensive) and just completed a stretcher design for a international medical company working with the military.
For us the challenge always remains the focus, how do we help people before, during, and after a crisis?
